Lasagne - The best thing I have ever eaten

And I was always surprised because this is one of the simplest, and mindless, meals anyone can make. And it fills our fridge with leftovers! This is hands down the best Lasagne my tongue has ever had the pleasure to come across. The sauce is made with San Marzano plum tomatoes, Italian sausage and just the right amount of herbs

The texture of Lasagne 

And now I’m trying to find the words to describe it to you. A simmered red sauce compliments the silkiness of the white sauce and this entire classic Italian Lasagne is filled with cheese. Lots of cheese. It’s my favorite. That’s all. There are reasons why it’s my favorite. It’s creamy and moist, but not so moist that it falls apart. It’s cheesy, but not too cheesy.

The earliest Lasagne recipes known are dated from the thirteenth century. At that time, tomatoes were not known to Europeans. This means that they couldn’t have used them in the recipes. However, depending on the recipe, different cheeses are used.
